APOCALYPSE 'absolutely not near'

Folks all over the world have been discussing and worrying that our world could be experiencing an unvoidable 'apocalyptic' event which would affect our Blue Planet.
Many have been saying that the Mayan Calendar has predicted a dire consequence to our world...!
Well...let me tell you this...folks had before 2000 also been worrying that the world would not escape a shaking event too.
Remember the widespread fear of the notorious Y2K...that all working machinery including air planes would either come to a grinding halt or begin to tumble from the sky when the clock ticks to the Year 2000!
But it did not happen and Y2K had made some prophets of doom and gloom very rich and many others poorer!
Today, once again, in this year of 2012, folks all over the world are fearing the end of the world is going to come upon us.
I advise you to relax, although I am no expert and no futurist, and don't even have a crystal ball at home to gaze upon into future events.
Common sense tell us all that our world will still be going on and there will be marriages and people continuing to get married for the whole of this year worldwide!
This is despite the fear of the computation of the ancient Mayan calendar which runs out Dec. 21, 2012.
This ancient calendar by those early astronomers were computed at a different time period when even the North American continent was not yet discovered by Christopher Columbus and his Santa Maria flag ship of three vessels...!
The Mayan astronomical science was primitive without the aid of even a tiny telescope...but they just climbed their step pyramids at night and gazed intently at the stars while chewing cocaine leaves which would give them a halucination view of the universe.
Only modern science could warn if the world is about to face an apocalyptic event coming from outer space.
So sleep well folks, the Mayan astronomers of long ago didn't mean to scare the good sleep out of you.
Assuredly, the world and you and I will go through 2012 like 2011, and nothing will happen to dampen your spirit, folks.
