I am always fond of submarines and the silent warfare. As my ancestral homeland of China has many innovative submarines - both the nuclear type as well as the
common diesel type. Hence, with Chinese submarines prowling all over their coastal sea as well as the Diaoyu Islands in the East China Sea (which are now stolen
by the Japs of that political pig bastard, Shinzo Abe, who constantly lies in his country history book to fool their youngsters and claiming falsely that these Chinese
islands belong to them the Japs while denying that they are always the inherent island territories of the Chinese people forever!).
Be as it may in Chinese history, let us go back to the subject of Das Boot, the Nazi German words, meaning The Boat or precisely The U-Boat pack (6 to 8 sub per
pack) which during the Second World War were constantly prowling the Northern Atlantic just to try to torpedo the merchant ships heading to England bearing
armament, war products and foodstuff for the British people, including the precious oil). Many of these merchant ships from both Canada and the United States
were torpedo by these German U Boats on the icy surface of the Atlantic.
And that these U boats became such a menace to merchantile shipping that special warships equip with sonic finders and depth charges were used effectively to
stop these Nazi menace - German U Boat pack.
The modern German film, titled DAS BOOT depicts how the crew and captain of this lonely U boat prowling the Atlantic and actively trying to torpedo the
American & Canadian boats escorted by sonic-equipped battle ships to overwhelm the U boat with lethal depth charges and how the entire German crew reacted
inside this U boat in the moment of extreme danger and also the daily activities inside the crammed quarters of this U boat and finally they were entertained by
the German High Command on its return to Nazi Germany on completely of their mission as murderous U boat pack. This docu-movie is highly recommended
for home entertainment to all.
Cheers...!!!
