THE HOUSE DIVIDED ********************
by Isaac Ho, Administrator & Founder of this Forum
If a house is divided, it will fall along with all of the members living inside it.
Of late, people in Singapore are alarmed that no sooner that its founder, the late Mr. Lee Kwan Yew had passed away, his family - sons Hsien Loong and Hsien Yang
and daughter Lee Wei Ling are all engaged in public quarrelling over their father's property which the house he has had expressed a wish to have it demolish after
his death as he didn't want it to be turned into a national museum to be trampled by frequent visitors to his home.
He stated clearly in the book by the group of Straits Times writers called the Hard Truth and his accompanying dvd about his hundred years home to be torn down
upon his death.
But now the squabble among his children, if he knows, would make his spirit angry.
His wish to demolish his house after his death had not been carried out.
Now the entire issue is like washing private linen in public.
Little wonder the people of Singapore are so alarmed at this situation.
As an admirer of Mr. Lee Kwan Yew's deed and having read almost all the books about him, I urge his children to come to an understanding and avoid further
discussion on this subject.
If nobody would live in that house, than the wishes of Mr. Lee Kwan Yew be carried out.

Dear folks, I urge all to discuss this matter in peace and love and utmost respects to the late Mr. Lee Kwan Yew, whom I have the greatest respects. I have had read the book: THE HARD TRUTH and understand the wishes of Mr. Lee when he was interviewed at age 87, and four years before he left this world at age 91. What he said during the intensive interview is found in this book by the entire Staff of Singapore Straits Times and the dvd to be found at the end of this book. I had read this book several times and had listened to the dvd for more than 15 times of the friendly conversation between Mr. Lee and the ST staff. I hope and pray, as a Christian, that may the soul of Mr. Lee rests in eternal peace now. Indeed, Singapore is still in safe hands and protected by God, although it is surrounded by "unfriendly" neighbours which still do not want Singaporeans to continue to prosper and dwell in peace. I wish to make it clear that what I write is my great respects for Mr. Lee and therefore, have not the slightest intention to take sides nor criticise Mr. Lee's three children which I also respect. I just urge them to settle this issue peacefully, lovingly and with true consideration and love for their departed parents, especially the wish of Mr. Lee Kwan Yew. Cheers!!!

Dear folks; As stated in the Straits Times today, the current disagreement regarding the house of Mr. Lee Kwan Yew by his three children, PM Lee Hsien Loong, Lee Hsien Yang and Dr. Lee Wei Ling, have all agreed to settle this issue privately among themselves instead of involving the government. I think this is the most appropriate step in the right direction and it would set an example to the public that any family issue could be resolve without the government nor the lawyers I suppose the spirit of the late Mr. Lee Kwan Yew will rests in peace now, knowing that the House of Lee is not divided by clear intelligence and understanding among his three children. Cheers!

Dear visitors and guests; PM Lee Hsien Loong together with his brother Hsien Yang and sister Dr. Lee Wei Ling have now agreed to settle their differences regarding their late father, MM Lee Kuan Yew's one-hundred year old house in private. And not to persuing the matter via the media nor the parliament. Most Singaporeans believe that this change of heart is in the right direction. As the Chinese proverb says: What happen within one's family will stay among the family members because of the shame and laughter which will bound to happen once outsiders come to know about it!" Mr. Han Fook Kwang, the Editor at Large of Singapore Straits Times, and he along with his colleagues who once interviewed in depth the late MM Lee Kuan Yew in the Hard Truth, of which the dvd at the end of the book mentioned about the status of his residence once he passed on. Mr. Lee said to demolish the house. Today in Mr. Han editorial page, titled: Act Big Or Small? What Lessons From the Past?, Of which he wrote when Mr. Lee was still alive, his family lived in harmony, but now his children have been squabbling regarding their father's house. So what is the lesson from this then? Please open the below url and read his article: www.straitstimes.com/opinion/act-big-or-small-what-lessons-from-the-past

Hello folks; Latest breaking news by Reuter. About 400 people demonstrated at the Speakers' Corner to protest against their PM Lee Hsien Loong whom they accused for squabbling in public and parliament with his brother Hsien Yang and sister Wei Ling regarding their father's house which is supposed to be demolished upon his death. Though they all agreed recently to settle this dispute but yet some Singaporeans are not so convinced and hence this public demonstration of protest against their Prime Minister.
