******************************

In 1960, while I was still working at the Forest Research Institute, Kepong, Malaysia, my young family and I often watch American
TV films as aired by Television Malaysia in the evening.
One of the most sought after and popular TV feature was BEN CASEY - starring Vince Edwards, the bold and intelligent neurosurgeon
in a small county hospital in the United States.
Ben Casey as portrayed by Vince Edwards is no-nonsense doctor and one who will not tolerate badly behaved patients as well as
bad medical practistioners of the art of neuro surgery.
Ben Casey is the head neuro surgeon in this hospital as depicted in the TV series known as Ben Casey.
His style and knowledge as a skilled and talented young surgeon was appreciated by grateful patients as well as the head of the
neuro surgical unit.
However, one wonders why this Ben Casey series came to an abrupt end after slightly more than a hundred episodes on TV...!
In 1997, Vince Edward was admitted because he was found to have a pancreatic cancer and he soon passed away.
His body was interned at the Cross Catholic Cemetery in Culver City, California.
One bright sunny day, visited this cemetery saw the apparition in the form of a young man who appeared to be in his late 20's
standing some 30 yards away starring at the cemetery visitor.
But little did the surprise visitor knew that it was the former Vince Edwards who once acted as the legendary Dr. Ben Casey.
The apparition looked at the visitor in a rather annoying fashion and soon vanished into thin air, according to his account.
Later on, as he scanned the cemetery, he came to realize that he met the ghost of Vince Edwards.
If you would click on the below url, you will be amazed to read of this visitor's account of Dr. Ben Casey in the grave yard.
