MANEATING TIGERS OF SUNDARBANS *******************************
by Isaac Ho, the Admin & Founder of this Forum
The vast mangrove forests of Sundarbans which are situated at the international border of India and Bangladesh have been a
wildlife sanctuary of the majestic Bengal Tigers. These regions have now gained notoriety due to those tigers...!
For some unknown reasons, the royal cats, at least some of them, have been transformed into fierce man eaters, since
they prefer the taste of human flesh than the deers and wild boars which abounds in the Sundarbans.
It has been well-documented in books and films of how some of these man eaters have become increasing bold and threaten
the livelihood of the villagers living near these mangrove swamps.
Foreign biologists and tiger experts have entered the Sundarbans to study the hot issue as to why some of these regal and
magnificent cats have turned into man eating animals.
Honey-gatherers, fishermen and wood cutters have continue to be harassed by these tigers of Sundarbans, even though both
the Indian and Bangladeshi governments are trying to stop them from hurting the people.
